Please join us in court this week for the final hearing of the Lota House appeal. The hearing will be held in the Planning and Environment Court , 415 George Street, Brisbane city, from Monday November 18 to Friday November 22. We need your help for one final push to show the Judge and the court that we are still opposed to high-rise development at Lota House. Please come to court as an observer. If you can only spare a few hours during the week, it will make a difference. Judges are people too. Let’s show them that the community does not want Anglicare and Village Retirement Group to cut down our woodlands and build blocks of high-rise units in our suburb. Each day’s start times and court room details are published on the court website after 5 pm the previous day. Visit the court list after 5pm the day before you plan to go. Scroll down until you find the Planning and Environment Court. Look for Village Retirement Group V Brisbane City Council. You will see details of the courtroom, the name of the Judge and the time the hearing starts. Monday’s hearing was held before Judge William Everson. Thanks for your support in the past. It’s been a long haul but we are close to a decision and hope you can join us in court this week.
